Don't Be Shy, Man! a hybrid show inspired by Stuart Sherman’s poetry
My group dance piece, "Ex Machina", was based off this poem by Stuart Sherman:
Conferences for the birds
Make mere “tweets”
do the work
Tension wires home
For more money
Sols electricity can get a move on
The trial that winds
A lot into a knot
Where once a house stood
On both legs at once,
An apparition and an appearance
Double AA confirms dial’s
Tone of voice
Isn’t really
Meant to be heard
Complaining that whistling
Disturbs the wind.
