I teach yoga, I teach dance, I teach creativity. I make art.
What's in a name?
Creativity governs my daily work. I aim to find inspiration, and I work to share it with others. My namesake was inspired by the Muses in Greek mythology. Originally, there were three:
Aoidē - "song" or "voice"
Meletē - "meditation" or "practice"
Mnēmē - "memory"
Together, these three form the framework behind MUSE309.
Aoide represents my Dance offerings. Melete represents my Yoga offerings. Mneme carries memories of artworks past in the Gallery.
These three original Muses later became the nine more commonly known today:
"Muse309" references the 3 Or 9 muses for their creative influence. But also...
"309" resembles the ohm symbol. Ohm is Sanskrit for the 3-stage creation cycle:
1. the void: nothingness
2. something, ascension and growth towards fullness
3. something, descending and waning towards emptiness: return to the void
